We are seeking an inventive and pragmatic VP of People to lead our global human resources function and execute the role as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive leadership team. This role will be responsible for constructing and executing workforce initiatives to meet our growth plans and will have an imperative impact on a rapid scaling, vibrant company.

This position is remote based and open to candidates anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.  

What you'll do ...

  • Own end-to-end people and culture function within the organization, including talent acquisition, employee onboarding, compensation & benefits, training & development, employee relations, employee retention, and legal compliance
  • Lead, provide guidance and support a seasoned multi-functional employee success team of 4
  • Build and implement scalable programs and processes to support the main people and culture functions
  • Champion an inclusive, unified, healthy remote first corporate culture that celebrates wins, is invested in the learning and development of it’s people, and supports growth & equitable opportunities on a global scale
  • Serve as a thought-leader on all employee-related matters, including development of organizational structure, establishing career paths and individual development plans, succession planning and enablement of goals & objectives across the business
  • Run the performance management process, including goal setting and performance assessment, feedback and training processes
  • Manage all elements of HR compliance, including training & investigation, resolution of workplace disputes, compliance with labor/employment laws & standards and legal compliance on a global scale
  • Contribute strategic initiatives in order to manage and support scalable growth including expansion of international locations and supporting corporate acquisitions
  • Build long term organization plans and cultural programs in order to support global understanding
  • Cultivate development training and mentorship programs in order to support all levels of leadership within the organization

What you'll bring ...

  • 10+ years of leadership experience within human resources ideally within a vibrant B2B SaaS organization
  • Progressive knowledge of employment law, global administration, and regulatory and compliance matters
  • Innovative entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to take on challenges in order to help shape a fast growing organization
  • Experience leading the people function within an organization that has seen rapid growth and scaled headcount from 100 to 200+
  • Experience growing a remote / hybrid-remote team
  • Collaborative work style and ability to work cross-functionally and support teams throughout the organization structure
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment, wage, and salary laws and regulations. Global experience (esp in Canada) a plus
  • Strong understanding of how to structure and operate compensation and benefit programs
  • Ability to resolve personnel issues successfully and professionally
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills
