We are looking for a Vice President of People and Culture to help scale the company from hyper growth stage to IPO and beyond. In this role, you will be a trusted member of the leadership team and oversee our Talent and People strategy, developing and implementing programs that will continue to make Wonolo an innovative company and great place to work.

The People team at Wonolo owns the employee experience, from hiring and onboarding, to L&D, career development, and retention. In this role you will lead a high performing, globally distributed team that includes Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Employee Experience, Learning & Development, and Compensation & Rewards.

What you'll do:

  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership, creating workforce initiatives to meet our growth plans.
  • Be a thought leader and champion of our culture, ensuring our mission and values are upheld and put into practice.
  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Recruiting to ensure we consistently hit our hiring targets while providing an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Work closely with the Leadership team to deliver on key initiatives.
  • Work with our global teams to create a world-class culture of inclusivity and connection in a remote environment.
  • Ensure all employees feel valued by celebrating wins both big and small, as well as doubling down on Learning & Development initiatives, career pathing, and equitable compensation practices.
  • Monitor market and industry trends to ensure readiness for regulatory environment ahead and adjust our operations accordingly.
  • Oversee our People Operations function, including HRIS, our global benefits strategy, and internal policies and systems.

Who you are:

  • Proven track record of success in Human Resources, People Operations, or a related field, at high growth technology companies.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of HR including but not limited to: HRIS, employee policies, benefits, onboarding, employee relations, L&D, diversity, compensation etc.
  • Some experience with M&A, specifically with integration.
  • Demonstrated experience leading globally distributed teams and scaling organizations up to 1,000+ people.
  • High IQ, but even higher EQ.
  • Strong leadership skills and self-awareness to have the right influence on the executive team and the rest of the company.
  • Highly strategic, but also tactical with a high sense of urgency and execution speed.
  • Ability to strike the right balance between discipline, simplicity, flexibility, and growth.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to advancing representation and inclusion in and out of the workplace.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience leading up to or through an IPO.
