Job Description:

Dow Jones, a leader in the global media industry, seeks a Manager, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, to create and guide inclusion, equity and diversity mechanisms and programming. The DEI Manager will help build scalable programs to promote awareness and education around an inclusive, equitable and diverse culture. We are looking for an experienced project manager with passion and experience in the inclusion, equity and diversity space combined with the ability to operationalize and scale programs.

Reporting to the SVP, Inclusion and People Management, the DEI Manager is a collaborative leader who embodies the spirit of our culture by living and supporting our core values; curiosity, trust & humility.

You have experience leading programs across multiple organizations with numerous partners. You have experience driving meaningful action and results, are data- and detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will work with multiple partners, improve collaboration, and best practice sharing. You will operate in a matrixed environment and must have a background in managing multiple concurrent projects and driving them to completion. You will propose and implement creative solutions and collaborate across the company to drive change.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Meaningfully contribute to Dow Jones’ diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and DEI governance structures. Build and manage programs, aligned with the execution of the DEI company strategy
  • Collaborate on DEI programs across the people team and with other BU and functional areas
  • Measure the impact of DEI programs using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Evolve and executive on our enterprise-wide DEI learning journey, including workshops, digital learning, listening sessions, and resources to encourage more open dialogue and candid conversations
  • Organize, promote, and moderate company-wide events that educate and create community around diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Partner with our Marketing and Communications functions to increase awareness of DEI activities and provide best practices on communications related to race, gender, ethnicity, age, sexuality, and ability status
  • Develop Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and guide program goals through program management and defined project plans
  • Create tools, guidelines, and solutions to help the organization maintain a diverse, welcoming, and connected environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent post-secondary experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading large-scale projects; successful teaming with colleagues, and outcome-based results orientation approach
  • 5+ years of project and program management skills
  • Experience developing solutions that positively impact diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Passion for DEI and experience developing initiatives to create a more inclusive culture
  • Ability to motivate and influence senior leadership, partners and peer groups
  • Ability to articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team, peers, and management
  • Experience translating metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities
