Job Description

The Director, Inclusion and Diversity, Stand Together will oversee, lead and manage the Stand Together initiative introduced in FY2021. The initiative is focused on advancing Underrepresented talent at Visa. The role reports to the Vice President, Inclusion & Diversity.

Job Scope

The ideal candidate for this position will have prior human resource generalist and/or inclusion and diversity experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of project and program management and ability to drive solutions that enable Visa’s workforce diversity, inclusiveness, and advancement opportunities, across all UR communities. The candidate should possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make recommendations gained from data insights. The ideal candidate must be a team player- one who can collaborate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Functions

  • Implementation of corporate inclusion and diversity development programs, including recruitment, performance management, leadership development, employee engagement and retention.
  • Drive diversity programs in partnership with the I&D team and various stakeholders across HR. Serve as subject matter expert and liaison to I&D Business consultants to develop strategic action to attract/develop/retain diverse talent.
  • Partner with Visa University to ensure Inclusion & Diversity development programs are aligned to development and advancement goals.
  • Partner with Supplier Diversity to increase the number of diverse suppliers in our network, and thereby increasing Visa spend with these suppliers.
  • Identify, build, and sustain community partnerships to support UR talent projects/plans/initiatives and business strategies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

• Past experience managing, motivating and developing a team is highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree/ Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

• Minimum 10+ years of prior HR Generalist and/or Inclusion & Diversity experience

• Proven, progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness leading inclusion and diversity related initiatives and programs

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization

• Project/Program management skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitation/presentation

• Strong, operational, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, be a team player, manage multiple projects and possess a strong knowledge of inclusion and diversity metrics and analytics

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
