Duties and Responsibilities

Business Partner responsibilities

  • Work with San Francisco leadership to determine business needs and collaborate with both the US and Global P&C team to help meet these needs
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Support implementation of Human Resources programmes. Partner with management to design and communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Contribute to various international and local projects
  • Partner with the Head of P&C USA and members of the Geneva P&C team to implement HR processes and programs such as, compensation planning, talent development and learning
  • Coach line management on people-strategic initiatives such as career management and development actions, and on employee-related matters such as disciplinary actions, change and conflict management and termination of employments
  • Work with employees to understand career objectives and serve as a resource to aid development
  • Partner with leadership and SF staff on evolving Culture Work including working with the Culture Connect group to drive new initiatives
  • Work with the US P&C Operations team with managing our Fellows program. This includes onboarding and ensuring a valuable experience
  • Partner with the US P&C team to develop a US onboarding program
  • Partner with Office Operations team to ensure compliance on all COVID-19 related guidelines

Talent Acquisition responsibilities

  • Partner with the US Talent Acquisition Lead to fill all open roles in San Francisco from sourcing to onboarding.  This includes ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of end-to-end recruitment process while managing both internal and external candidate relationships
  • Partner with the Head of People & Culture USA, US Talent Acquisition Lead and members of our Employee Resource Groups to develop initiatives to continue to have a diverse and inclusive culture
  • Keep current on trends to attract talent

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree

• Five to eight years of HR experience in both talent acquisition and HR business partner roles, preferably in a major company or complex matrix organization

• Proven experience with full cycle recruiting and successful strategies at attracting talent

• Broad and general HR professional knowledge including knowledge of both California and New York compliance regulations

• Strong business acumen, analytical skills and client focus

• Comfortable with technology – experience with Workday a plus
